Open Source

We value Open Source and make a point to release all our plugins on GitHub under a BSD License.

Install the plugin

  1. Press F1 or CMD + Shift + P and type install. Pick Extensions: Install Extension.

  2. Type wakatime and hit enter.

  3. Download the latest version to a local folder.

  4. Click in three dots on the upper right corner then Install from VSIX...

  5. Restart Azure Data Studio.

  6. Enter your API key , then press enter.

    (If you’re not prompted, press F1 or CMD + Shift + P then type WakaTime API Key.)

  7. Use Azure Data Studio like you normally do and your coding activity will be displayed on your WakaTime Dashboard.
